Check the service options
Ask for the packaging options and supported destinations for your agreement, including any branded or unbranded presentation and product restrictions.
Match the options offered in your Shopify store to the service that will fulfil the order.
Prepare the setup
- Review the product range and destinations.
- Select the agreed packaging option.
- Check any artwork or insert requirements.
- Review the current charges.
- Include packaging and delivery in your test order.
Use an actual sample or approved packaging reference when the presentation is important to your brand.
Keep customer expectations clear
Describe the chosen service accurately in your store. A carrier option covers delivery; production timing is a separate part of the order journey.
Check how multiple items or parcels are handled before promising that everything will arrive together.
Change a requirement
Contact the fulfilment team before changing branded packaging, adding an insert or opening a new delivery region. Include the affected products and intended start date so the service can be configured correctly.
For a parcel issue, use the linked order and tracking information rather than changing the general shipping setup as a workaround.
Check the whole parcel presentation
- Outer mailer or box: plain, supplier-marked or customer-branded?
- Garment labels: which existing labels remain and which changes are supported?
- Packing slip: whose name, contact information and pricing appear?
- Inserts or custom packaging: available for which products, with what supply and storage arrangements?
- Shipping label and returns address: what will the customer see?
- Notifications: who sends them and where replies go?
Before opening a delivery country
Confirm the country and postcode coverage, eligible products, available service, cost basis and any additional delivery requirements with the team. Ask how multiple items or split parcels are handled. Do not assume that a destination offered by Shopify is supported by your fulfilment arrangement.
Use a representative sample
Ask to review the actual agreed packaging and documentation before describing the experience on your website. Plain outer packaging does not automatically mean garment labels have been removed, custom inserts are included or every notification uses your brand.
