Find the instructions
Check the garment label and the decoration-care information supplied with the order. If you cannot find both, contact the team with the garment or order reference.
Different fabrics and finishes can need different washing, drying and ironing conditions. Use the instructions for the actual finished item, including any more restrictive decoration instruction.
Before the first wash
- Identify the garment and decoration.
- Read the washing and drying guidance.
- Check how to treat the decorated area when ironing.
- Follow any separate instruction supplied for the finished result.
For a mixed uniform order, check each garment type. One washing setting may not suit every item.
When instructions are unclear
Contact the team with the order and garment reference before using a care treatment you are unsure about. Include a photograph of the label where that helps.
If you notice damage, keep the item and report the issue with clear photographs. Explain how it has been worn and cared for so the team can assess the specific result.
The printed or stitched finish is part of the care assessment. A general process name does not establish a universal washing temperature or durability guarantee.
Read all five care treatments
Look for the instructions for washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional cleaning. Care symbols set treatment limits; they do not mean every treatment below a number is suitable for every decorated item. Check any wording supplied for the finished garment as well as the original label.
Before the first wash
- Find the exact garment and the order’s decoration-care instructions. Photograph the label if you need to ask about it.
- Check washing temperature and cycle, detergent or bleaching restrictions, and whether tumble drying is permitted.
- Check ironing restrictions separately; do not assume the garment fabric’s ironing instruction applies directly to a printed design.
- Check each garment in a mixed uniform order rather than putting the whole range on one programme.
- If the instructions disagree or are missing, ask the team before washing, tumble drying or using a specialist treatment.
Example: an embroidered polo and a printed jacket
These two items may have different fabrics, construction and decoration requirements even when they belong to the same uniform. Keep their care instructions separate. If a laundry provider uses a fixed high-temperature or chemical process, send that process and the garment references to the team before ordering; a domestic-wash label does not establish suitability for industrial laundering.
If the decoration changes after washing
Keep the item and record the garment reference, programme, temperature, drying method and products used. Include photographs of the whole garment, affected area and label when contacting Support. Avoid further treatments while the issue is being reviewed. Reporting what happened helps the team assess the case; it does not automatically establish the cause or remove your rights.
