Guide / Choose and order clothing

Finding the right size and checking samples

Use the size guide for the exact garment, then compare the measurements using the method shown.

Chest widthLength

Measure clothing that fits

When measuring clothing that fits, lay it flat without stretching it. A flat chest width is different from a full body chest measurement.

Chest width is measured across the flat garment. Length runs from shoulder to hem. Use the points specified by the exact product chart.

  1. 1. Lay the garment flat
  2. 2. Measure the stated points
  3. 3. Compare with the correct garment chart

Read the right chart

Open the size guide beside the garment's size options. Check whether it describes body measurements or measurements of the garment itself, and use the stated units.

Fit can vary between brands and styles. Check each product rather than copying a size from another garment.

Measure and compare

  1. Follow the chart's measuring instructions.
  2. Compare like-for-like measurements.
  3. Allow for your preferred fit and any layers worn underneath.
  4. Choose a size for each garment type.
  5. Record the choices in your team quantity list.

Share the exact product chart with everyone choosing sizes. Keep the list limited to the information needed for the order.

Samples and uncertainty

Three different checks

Which sample answers your question?

Digital mockup
Check the proposed design and placement. A screen cannot confirm feel or fit.
Plain garment sample
A paid option to check fit and fabric. No credit against a later order.
Decorated sample
A paid option to check the finished branding. A qualifying order may earn sample credit.

Check the exact item and timing with the team. The credit rules and examples below explain when a decorated sample can qualify.

Plain garment samples and samples decorated with your design are both available as paid options. A plain sample helps you check fit and fabric; a decorated sample also lets you assess the finished branding. Plain samples do not earn a credit against a later order. Ask the team for the exact sample price and timing before ordering.

Check personalised-item return terms before confirming sizes. If the chart is missing or unclear, contact the team with the garment reference and the measurement you need; we can help you interpret the right information.

Getting credit for a decorated sample

Place your qualifying order within 30 days of buying the decorated sample. The team assesses garment and design matching case by case. Contact us with the sample order reference and your planned order before paying, so we can confirm eligibility and arrange the deduction.

When your order reaches an item price break

An order reaching any item quantity price break can qualify for the difference between the higher sample item price and the lower unit price on the qualifying order. This covers the sample garment and decoration; separately charged artwork or setup fees are excluded.

When the full sample cost can be credited

Full sample-credit tiers — amounts exclude VAT and delivery
Qualifying spend for each designMaximum sample price, including decoration
£300 or more£16 or less, excluding VAT
£500 or more£29 or less, excluding VAT
  • Each design must independently meet its spending threshold. Do not pool spending across several designs.
  • Calculate qualifying garment-and-decoration spend after other discounts, but before deducting the sample credit itself. Exclude VAT and delivery.
  • One sample item per design can receive full credit. The sample price limits include the garment and decoration, excluding VAT.
  • The threshold and sample price limits are inclusive: exactly £300/£16 or £500/£29 can qualify.
  • Apply whichever single eligible credit is higher: the price-difference credit or full sample credit. Never both for the same sample.
  • Artwork and setup fees charged separately are not credited.

Example: one design totals £320 after other discounts, before sample credit, excluding VAT and delivery. A £15 sample garment and decoration for that design fits the £300/£16 tier. With the 30-day and matching conditions met, £15 can be deducted; that deduction does not make its own eligibility disappear.

How the credit is applied

The preferred route is a deduction from the qualifying order after the team checks the claim. If that deduction cannot be provided, we issue account credit for a future order. Do not assume the credit will appear automatically at checkout.

Free-delivery eligibility is checked separately, after all discounts and sample credits. A sample-credit deduction can therefore move the basket below a free-delivery threshold.
